We truly loved this restaurant, the best in Winona. Highly recommend it. The food is delicious, the place is clean and has a very pleasant atmosphere. The service is super friendly and kind. My daughter and I were glad to find vegetarian choices for us. Great food at a reasonable price. Do not miss it!
Wow, what a fantastic establishment! Not only is the food here quite possibly the best in Winona (we got the crazy tuna roll, sweet potato tempura roll, & chicken hibachi- YUM!), but the service was fabulous, the atmosphere was wonderful (fun & relaxed), and I was beyond impressed with the presentation of the food Also, our server started singing happy birthday to a young girl at another table, and the entire restaurant joined in! It was really adorable. To top it all off, our server gave me a red Japanese soda on our way out, because she knew my partner & I were celebrating Valentine’s Day. We will absolutely be back!
Great family owned restaurant in Winona. Nice small place right in downtown and super friendly family. Reasonable prices, delicious rolls and Sushi. Hibachi chicken was a bit salty for our tastebuds, but again just one meal. We have eaten here twice now, so happy to give them a positive review.
If I could give this place 10/5 stars I would. This is one of my all time favorite restaurants EVER! The food is incredible and the family that owns the restaurant are so friendly! The restaurant is kid friendly, the family has children so most times the young kids are there. The hibachi is amazing and they have some of the best sushi out there. The garden salad is my favorite salad and I always order two when I go. The desserts are all perfect, the fried bananas and cheese are a must!!! I can’t recommend this place more, going here is a MUST!
Been here a few times when visiting Winona, delicious! Friend and I had miso soup, edamame, spicy salmon, California roll, and lobster roll. Service was fast and friendly, food was fresh and delicious. A fantastic stop in Winona!
Me and my wife visited on Sunday, May 25. There was only one server and she was also managing the front desk and the phone *and* taking care of her toddler. It was a masterful, herculean effort. The food was terrific and we were so grateful to be part of such a family-friendly space. We visited again later in the week (yesterday) and the food was just as good. Can't wait to visit every time we are in town.
Miya has a welcoming, clean, and cute environment. The waitress was extremely nice and bubbly. The cook, probably the owner, made ALL OF THE FOOD for a packed lunch crowd of at least 30 people. The wait time was about 45 minutes. When we saw there were only 2 staff I was immediately more patient. They served the most expertly prepared dishes. Not only were they delicious they were artfully presented and high quality. I judge a sushi restaurant on their rainbow roll and seaweed salad. The seaweed salad was small but included fresh wild greens including mustard greens which I love! A mild Wasabi ginger dressing really made it pop. The rainbow roll was small but the rice and toppings were expertly prepared. My family's table was all well taken care of. My husband's katsu pork was a big portion and gorgeously plated. I will be back. They even gave us a "happy birthday " dessert of tempura banana with chocolate sauce for dessert even though it was no one's birthday and it made the meal. I want to give a shout out to these TWO...IM SAYING TWO people who ran a crazy busy Sat lunch service with no complaints or looks or apologies. Thank you Miya. We will be back. This would be an amazing date night restaurant. I'm so happy to see local businesses succeed.
Just went to Miya for the first time tonight and it lived up to the hype!!! The owners appear to run and operate this place and it they put out a great product! The pork gyosa is amazing, the chicken hibachi is delicious as well, for someone who really doesn’t like sushi! Loved these items though!! My wife loved her spicy tuna and the Boston roll! Give this place a try here in Winona, MN!
